New Look

Well I did what every new mom does...cut my hair! It's a bob cut so it has a tapered back (sorry no picture of it). Here is Josiah and I playing with my self timer on my camera.

What we have been up to...

True to summer, it has already been a busy one! So here are a few things we have been up to...

Surviving 90 degree temps...

working on smiles...

helping tired mom...

mowing the lawn...

visiting cousins...

and celebrating 4 years of marriage by escaping to Door County!

Hillery Hoe-Down

The first week of June we got together with the Hillery family for our annual reunion. It turned out to be a chilly day, but Josiah and Jack had a lot of fun despite being a little cold!
Jackson finally got to meet his Aunt Hillery and Uncle Clint!

Jack took a three generation picture with Grandpa Hillery!

Jack also got to meet lots of Aunts and Uncles and cousins. He pretty much slept the day away, but everyone had fun snuggling with him!

He even got a some sweet gifts!

Josiah on the other hand got to experience a lot of firsts...

his first bon fire...

his first bubbles... (still working on the blowing part of that)

seeing baby pigs...

All in all it was a great day! We can't wait for next year!

Lenz Look-alike Meter

MyHeritage: Look-alike Meter - Free genealogy - Family pictures

Okay so I found this link on someone else's blog and thought I would give it a try since I can't figure out if Jack looks more like me or Eric. However I did the same with Josiah's picture and it said he looked 4% more like me! I'm wondering how accurate this is... :) It was fun to do no matter what the results!

Family Vacation

The Ostercamp family unloaded their very full cars for a few days at the Wisconsin Dells!

Hanging with the cousins.

Josiah learning strategy tips from Luke on how to beat Grandpa at Battle Ship. Grandpa always seems to lose hmmmm...

Hanging out with Uncle Matt scoping out this swimming thing and not sure about it...

Jack snoozing on Uncle Dave's arm.

Hanging out after a fun day of swimming! Thanks for a great vacation Grandma and Grandpa!

Wisconsin Dells

Jack's first swim

Jack is already to swim...or sleep...

And then there is Josiah... I think the picture says it all! Let's just say Josiah is going to see this again at something called "High school Graduation."

It took Josiah a while... a LONG while (three hours each day of sitting and watching) but he did eventually warm up to the water and swim.

Finally meeting Uncle Isaac! What a natural!!!

Meeting another Grandma and Grandpa

Josiah and Jackson got to meet yet another Grandma and Grandpa over Memorial Day weekend. Both of my Grandpas passed away before I got to know them. One day my sister asked a man in our church who was a dear family friend if he would be our adopted Grandpa since we didn't have one. From that day on he was no longer Charlie but Grandpa to us and of course with him came a wonderful lady we now know as Grandma. Sadly we do not see them too often anymore so on our way to my cousin's wedding we got to stop in to see them and introduce our children to their Great Grandma and Grandpa. It was a special time that I am so thankful we got the opportunity to do. Thanks for being our grandparents Charlie and Marge!

On the road...

Over Memorial Day Weekend the boys and I hit the road for one long road trip. Eric had to work, so sadly we had to leave him behind. We went 8 hours to my parents, met up with my sister and her two children, and then two days later with my mom and dad went 5 more hours to NE for a wedding. The boys did GREAT but I will say one thing...

Eric I am so thankful for you!!!!

Great Grandma Brown

Over Memorial Day Weekend we were able to stop by my Grandma and Grandpa's grave and place some flowers. I never new my Grandpa, but do know that he was a wonderful man who loved the Lord. It was special to spend a few minutes remembering my Grandma. She was a spunky lady who had a real love and passion for the Lord. She made us always laugh, and her and I had a lot of fun memories together being a bit crazy! My Grandma and Grandpa were both first generation Christians who came to know the Lord as their personal savior late in life. I am so thankful for them, because they introduced my mom to our Great Savior, who in return introduced Him to me. They never go to meet my boys, but I can't wait to introduce them to my little guys someday in heaven!

Wedding Weekend

My beautiful cousin Jenny got married over Labor Day weekend. The boys and I, my sister and her two children and my mom and dad made the trip to NE for the wedding. It was BEAUTIFUL and as you can see so was the bride. It was so fun to see everyone and spend time with our family that we do not see enough! Thanks for a great weekend Jenny and congratulations to you and Tyson!
